The weather in Britain can be truly fascinating. When I got off the bus on the way home this evening, it was reasonably warm and sunny here in the Hertfordshire town where I live. Only now, half an hour later, the sky has gone yellow – yes, yellow! – and we’re in the grip of a torrential downpour.
The colour of the sky is due to evening sunshine getting in under the cloud, by the way. The updraft of air pollution from London isn’t that bad. Honest!
