Necrons

I’m feeling some way from compos mentis at the moment – I seem to be in the early stages of some sort of mild flu bug. However, you don’t need to be too with it to fiddle around in Poser. So have a scene featuring some Space Marines getting a nasty undead-robot-type surprise:

The full version is here, with the entire scene.

  1. I like the poses that you’ve got going on here (I’ve looked at the full version too) they’re becoming much more life-like. I can almost feel the Ultramarines prowling forward while scanning their surrondings. I see one of them is about to have a really, really, bad day šŸ™‚

The colouring is nice and subtle too, it makes all the glowing green of the necron stuff stand out really well.

    • Thanks. I got the glowing effect using the ‘ambient’ texture map option. Poser doesn’t name texture components very logically, but basically the ambient makes things look glowing. Of course, as you can see, I don’t quite have it coordinated with the bump maps yet, so that some of the block boundaries on the stelae are cutting across the glowing bits – but that’s something for the future!
